The Duttons aren't the only ranching family in Montana.
** can exclusively reveal that* Walking Dead* star Michael Cudlitz will guest-star on the upcoming *Yellowstone* spinoff *Marshals* (formerly *Y: Marshals*). The drama follows Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) in the aftermath of the flagship series as he teams up with an old friend and becomes a U.S. Marshal.
As fans will remember, Kayce is a former Navy SEAL, and when his old team leader, Pete Calvin (Logan Marshall-Green), comes knocking in the new CBS series, Kayce embarks on a different journey, one that has less to do with his cattle and far more to do with his combat skills.
Cudlitz joins the cast as Randall Clegg, the patriarch of a ranching family that's said to be nearly as old as the Duttons. And based on his brief interaction with Kayce in the exclusive teaser above, it's safe to say there's no love lost between the families.
'Y: Marshals' showrunner says Kayce Dutton is focused on 'being a father' in 'Yellowstone' spinoff (exclusive)

As Randall says to Kayce in the teaser, "Family name doesn't carry water anymore so you gotta hide behind a federal badge? How the mighty have fallen."
Kayce quickly fires back with, "Still got a long way to go before I make it down to you."
The drama will unfold slowly as Cudlitz is set to appear in multiple episodes during the show's first season, beginning with the March 15 episode. *Marshals* also stars Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, and Tatanka Means, alongside *Yellowstone* alums Gil Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty, Brecken Merrill, and others.**
